The Choctaw County Alumni Chapter is one of the original charter chapters of the UWA National Alumni Association. Each year, the chapter holds a Crawfish Boil in Butler, Alabama. This event is attended annually by UWA President, Richard Holland, many UWA staff and coaches and many of the 553 graduates of UWA living in Choctaw County. With funds raised through the $15 annual dues and donations, the Choctaw County Alumni Chapter awards several alumni scholarships to deserving UWA students from Choctaw County.

If you would like to become involved with the Choctaw County Alumni Chapter, you may contact President Gayle McPhearson at 205.459.2618. You may also call the UWA Alumni Office at 205.652.3586, or email TyAnne Stone, Director of Alumni Affairs at tstone@uwa.edu.
