Those who have been fortunate
enough to experience what it is that makes The University of West Alabama
such a special place know. Those who have walked the sidewalks, passed
through the corridors, or rocked an afternoon away on the porch at Webb Hall
know.
Perhaps it was a professor who somehow changed from an
intimidating force to a caring mentor over a four-year college experience,
the building of a life-long friendship over lunches in the cafeteria, or
even finding the love of a lifetime at a freshman mixer. It might be the
long-ago memory of friends gathering in the parlor for tea, or a more recent
memory of a long talk with Dean Homer, or an even more recent memory of an
encouraging word from President Holland.
While for many it may be impossible to put into words,
for mere words are inadequate, thousands know. For nearly 175 years The
University of West Alabama has been Alabama’s best kept secret. Countless
lives have been changed by the intangible, unique Livingston experience. It
is a sense of warmth, of family. Some say that, “it just feels right…
there’s something about this place.”
By making a financial contribution to the Annual Fund
you can insure that countess more lives are changed by the indefinable, but
singularly unique Livingston experience offered only at The University of
West Alabama. Unrestricted gifts allow for the greatest flexibility in
funding those programs most in need, but Annual Fund contributions may also
be restricted to a variety of programs across a broad spectrum of donor
interests.
Take a moment to reflect on your UWA experience then
consider making a contribution to the Annual Fund.
